Effective immediately, Parflex Division will implement a layline modification on the 2022N‑04V 10‑P hose. The hose identification on the new layline changes to 2022N-04V10.
What’s Changing?
- The operational layline design printed on the hose will now follow 2022N‑04V10 format—removing the trailing “‑P” for a simpler marking.
- Despite this update, the part number remains 2022N‑04V10‑P, and ordering processes are unchanged.
- Only the 1/4″ ID size is changing; the rest of the sizes in the 2022N series remain unchanged.
Scope of the Layline Update
- All pending and new orders shipping from Parker factory, whether for bulk hose or hose assemblies using the 2022N‑04V10‑P code, will include the updated layline graphic. You may still see the current layline on orders shipped from Parker distributors, until their inventory is depleted.
- Only the printed layline changes—product performance, safety, and specification remain identical.
- Part numbering and fabrication tooling specs remain unchanged.
No Impact to Form, Fit, or Function
- The hose continues to be the same perforated polyurethane jacket style featuring aramid-braid reinforcement over a polyamide tube.
- Maximum working pressure remains at 10,000 psi (690 bar) with a 4:1 design factor.
- The hose supports operating temperatures from –40 °F to 80 °C, consistent with the V10 specification
- Minimum bend radius (~100 mm / 3.94 inches) and the nominal outside diameter (~13.8 mm / 0.540 inches) remain unchanged
- Crimp specifications, tooling, hose assembly standards, and performance metrics remain fully consistent—no need for tooling recalibration or process changes.
Parker 2022N Series Hose Overview
The 2022N series is a high-pressure thermoplastic hose engineered for downstream oil & gas, subsea utility, and hydraulic tool use, renowned for its lightweight, flexibility, and long continuous lengths.
- Construction: Polyamide inner tube, aramid fiber braid reinforcement, abrasion-resistant polyurethane cover.
- Available Styles:
- Standard V10 (black polyurethane)
- Non‑conductive V15 (orange jacket)
- Methanol‑washed V91 (for subsea or injection systems)
- Working Pressure: 10,000 PSI with 4:1 safety factor.
- Working Temperature Range: –40 °F to 176 °F (–40 °C to 80 °C)
- The –04V10‑P variant specifies a perforated cover style designed specifically for non‑flammable gas transfer applications.
