Parker Hannifin’s Fluid System Connectors Division has announced updates to select compression union fittings and 90° female elbows. These Parker fittings changes are designed to improve usability and streamline installation, while maintaining the same high standards of performance and compatibility.
Compression Union Fitting Changes
Effective August 1, 2025, Parker will implement a dimensional update to the hex size on three compression union fittings: 62C-2, 62CA-2, and 62CL-2. The wrench flat dimension in the center of these fittings will increase from 5/16” to 3/8”. This change does not affect the overall length, function, or performance of the fittings.
Treat this as a running change, meaning distributors may still carry existing inventory beyond the effective date. Updated technical drawings and comparison prints are available upon request from your authorized Parker distributor.
90° Female Elbow Changes
Also effective August 1, 2025, Parker will modify the forging dimensions on the rigid (non-swivel) side of eight part numbers in its 90° female elbow line. This adjustment results in a more compact fitting, improving installation flexibility in tight spaces. While function and thread connections remain unchanged, designers using rigid tubing may need to account for these dimensional reductions.

- 170PB-4-4
- 170VL-5-4
- 170VLV-5-4
- 170C-6-4
- 170CA-6-4
- 170P-6-4
- 170PB-6-4
This change does not affect the function or performance of the fittings.
As with the compression union updates, legacy inventory may continue to ship during the transition. Updated part drawings and comparison specifications are available through your local Parker representative.
