Parker Fluid System Connectors Division (FSC) has announced that the brass body 5/32” Push-to-Connect union fittings (PTC union fittings), part numbers 62PTC-4-5/32 and 62PTC-5/32, will be officially obsoleted. Effective October 1, 2025, these brass fittings will be discontinued, and Parker will transition all future availability to its PTC composite body product line.

New Composite Part Numbers
- 32PTC-4-5/32 will replace 62PTC-4-5/32
- 32PTC-5/32 will replace 62PTC-5/32
Composite Body is Now Standard for PTC Union Fittings
The new composite body PTC union fittings are fully qualified to meet the same rigorous standards as their brass counterparts, including:
- D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106: Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for brake hoses
- SAE J2494-3: Performance requirements for push-to-connect air brake system fittings used in heavy-duty truck and trailer applications
These standards ensure the fittings meet essential performance, durability, and safety criteria, including pressure retention, vibration resistance, and long-term sealing.
Benefits of Composite PTC Union Fitting Design
The composite PTC union fittings are constructed using advanced thermoplastic materials that offer several key advantages.
- Weight Reduction: Composite fittings are significantly lighter than brass, which helps reduce overall system weight—particularly beneficial in transportation and mobile applications.
- Corrosion Resistance: Unlike brass, the composite materials are highly resistant to corrosion from road salts and environmental exposure.
- Ease of Installation: The fittings retain Parker’s trusted push-to-connect design, enabling fast and reliable tube installation without needing tools.
Next Steps for Customers
