Affected Part Numbers
FEM-1001-16FP-NL — Female Coupler, 1″ Body, NPTF Port
A female coupler in the FEM/IF family with a 1″ body size and 1-11.5 NPTF female port (“FP”). It retains ISO 16028 design and the FEM flat-face architecture users expect. The obsoleted part has a no-lok feature, and the replacement (FEM-1001-16FP) features a sleeve-lock.
FEM-1001-16FO-NL — Female Coupler, 1″ Body, ORB Port
A female coupler in the same family with a 1″ body size and female ORB port (commonly 1-5/16-12 UN/UNF for the “16FO” variant), offering the same flush-face, non-spill benefits with an ORB interface for leak-resistant sealing. The obsoleted part has a no-lok feature, and the replacement (FEM-1001-16FO) features a sleeve-lock.
The updated flat-face hydraulic quick couplings continue to meet ISO 16028 requirements. The refresh focuses on improving durability, ease of handling, and consistency across sizes—without changing the interchange or the core benefits that made the FEM series a field standard.
Initial updates already rolled out on 3/8″, 1/2″, and 3/4″ body sizes, with 1″ size update rolling out in September 2025. The 1/4″ and 5/8″ sizes, will follow, but as of the writing of this post, Parker did not release the dates.
What the Update Means for You
- Interchange stays ISO-true: Your existing ISO 16028 tool ends and mates remain compatible.
- Performance & handling improvements: The redesign targets robustness and user experience (completed on 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and now 1″; other sizes to follow).
- Same non-spill, easy-clean faces: Ideal where cleanliness and quick service are critical (construction, ag, material handling, industrial equipment).
