Parker SCPSD Pressure Controller Replaced by SCPSDi

Parker SPCSDI Pressure Controller

On September 30, 2025, Parker’s Quick Coupling Division will discontinue the current Pressure Controller model SCPSD. All final orders for the SCPSD must be placed on or before that date.

Introducing the SCPSDi The Next-Generation Pressure Controller

In its place, Parker is launching the SCPSDi, the new generation model designed to fully replace the SCPSD. The “I” added to the model name distinguishes the updated unit from its predecessor.

The SCPSDi is now available to order and comes with a number of enhancements and new capabilities compared to the SCPSD.

Key Features & Improvements of the SCPSDi

Based on Parker’s published specifications, here are the additional details and improved capabilities of the SCPSDi:

  • Compact, Rugged Housing: All-metal construction, designed to withstand harsh industrial environments.
  • Pivoting Display & Pressure Port: The Display is adjustable up to 180°, allowing optimal readability regardless of mounting orientation. External pressure-port threading that rotates freely (over 360°) independently of the housing, so you can align the pressure connection without twisting the housing.
  • Multiple Output Options: The options include two programmable switching outputs, optional analogue output signal (0-10 V, 0/4-20 mA) for more flexible monitoring, and Integrated IO-Link communication, facilitating digital connectivity and configuration.
  • Wide Pressure Range: Available in many variants, spanning nominal pressure ranges up to 600 bar.
  • High Accuracy & Stability: It has good long-term stability and repeat accuracy and is resistant to drift with temperature changes. Typical accuracy is around ± 0.5% of full scale; worst case is around ± 1% FS.
  • User-Friendly Design & Usability: Features an LED display with clear symbols for units, pressure readings, and switch status. Raised buttons and a LOCK feature to prevent accidental parameter changes. “ECO mode” is available for reduced power consumption (dimmed display when needed).
  • Installation Flexibility: The external thread (pressure port) and internal thread options are available to suit different configurations. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and the display orientation is adjustable post-installation.
  • Durability & Protection: Designed to IP67 for protection against dust and water. Able to operate over a broad ambient temperature range (approximately −25 to +85 °C) with broader storage temperatures.

In Summary

  • Order Deadline: Any orders for SCPSD must be placed by September 30, 2025. After that date, SCPSD will no longer be available.
  • Migration to SCPSDi: For whatever SCPSD model(s) you currently use (pressure range, output, mounting orientation, etc.), there will be a corresponding SCPSDi model that meets or exceeds those specs.
  • Compare Part Numbers: You will want to compare your existing SCPSD part number(s) against the list of SCPSDi replacements (see below) to ensure correct replacement.
