Parker Enhances it’s Brass Push-to-Connect (PTC) Fittings

Composite versus Brass PTC Fittings

Parker’s Fluid System Connectors (FSC) Division has announced an important update to its brass Push-to-Connect (PTC) straight fittings. The new design features a brass sleeve engineered to reduce tubing insertion and release forces, making installation faster, easier, and more consistent across applications.

Improved Design for Better Performance

The updated PTC fittings from Parker include a precision-machined brass sleeve that delivers several key advantages.

  • Reduced insertion and release force for easier tubing connections
  • More consistent performance, especially in repetitive or high-volume assembly operations
  • Better ergonomics, minimizing hand strain for technicians and assemblers
  • Smooth and reliable connection feel that enhances the overall customer experience

While no formal industry standards exist for insertion and release force in push-to-connect fittings, Parker’s updated design provides a measurable usability improvement without sacrificing the product’s proven sealing integrity and durability.

Tested and Qualified to Rigorous Standards

The new brass sleeve design is already in use in Parker’s brass Push-to-Connect fittings and has been tested and qualified to meet the demanding requirements of FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J2494-3. These standards confirm Parker’s ongoing commitment to safety, reliability, and long-term performance in pneumatic and fluid systems.

All affected straight PTC fitting part numbers will maintain the same form, fit, and function, ensuring full compatibility with existing tubing systems. The new fittings meet all previously validated performance criteria, including pressure ratings, temperature ranges, and corrosion resistance.

Parker Push-to-Connect Fittings: Innovation and Reliability

Parker’s Push-to-Connect (PTC) fittings are trusted across industrial, pneumatic, and transportation markets for their leak-free performance and quick assembly. These fittings require no tools or sealants, allowing users to make secure connections to plastic, copper, or nylon tubing in seconds.

The FSC Division’s continuous design improvements underscore Parker’s dedication to innovation, product safety, and customer satisfaction—which is why Parker remains the leading choice for push-to-connect fitting solutions worldwide.
