If you use or service Chelsea PTOs for the DT12n transmissions, you should be aware of this product update announced by Parker Chelsea.
Effective immediately, Chelsea Products Division (CPD) is implementing a change to the indicator switch used on select PTO models designed for the DT12 transmission.
Below is a summary of what’s changing and what it means for you.
What’s Changing?
The current one-pole indicator switch (Part #380515) is being replaced with a two-pole indicator switch (Part #379990) on the following PTO series:
• Chelsea 489 Series PTO
• Chelsea 680 Series PTO
• Chelsea 880 Series PTO
• Chelsea 823 Series PTO
This update specifically affects:
• The “5” shift option for the Chelsea 489 and 680 series PTO
• The “V” shift option for the Chelsea 823 and 880 series PTO
The indicator switch confirms PTO engagement, making it a critical component for proper operation and operator awareness.

What This Means for Users & Upfitters
If you:

• Maintain inventory for Chelsea 489, 680, 880, or 823 series
